This was discussed just few days ago, try searching again. Maemo mapper simply fills your flash and the system has a tough time with no free space left. Solution is to set maemo mapper to store maps on mmc card, not internal flash.

Thanks for the input AsteriodS; Unfortunately I can't do that as Application Manager won't stay open, or at least open properly to uninstall. I can sometimes get it open initially and its starts to refresh the application list but it doesn't seem to get further than that - no applicatioins are listed so I can't uninstall Mapper

My Maps are located on MMC, nothing on internal storage. As are my saved tracks/routes. I've tried without a MMC or the original MMC that doesn't have my Map data but I end up with the same issues.

I'll take a look for future reference, thanks. Do you have application name ?

I wanted Mapper for travel and I am I do not have it. I have tried all the suggestions listed above (have the Maps on the MMC etc.) Still went in to a reboot problem. Still going strong without Mapper

Ooopps, missed your post Fanoush. Thanks for that and the follow up thread.

I had Mapper store Maps on MMC as were my saved Routes. I didn't have "auto download" set or anything so other than recording my track I don't think (!) anything else would have been stored internally ?

Best Regards

Sorry to see - after a reflash and fresh installation Mapper worked fine for me for some time - it was just this last time when it seemed to record a large (?) 1.2Mb track/route.

I'm trying again () but have installed the System Monitor plugin to try and get a little more info as to what is being used where - perhaps you could give it a try and see what your memory usage is reported as for comparison ?

I have a similar infiite-reboot problem, happened with mapper and/or vnc viewer installed. Trying to isolate it, currently requires reflashing every couple days.
What version of OS / mapper do you use?

Great !

Until the other day I hadn't run VNC but since reflashing other than the System Monitor applet VNC is the only thing I put on !

Its been OK since then running a Live Audio feed and a VNC connection both with and without Viurtual RAM.

I'll get Mapper on again for use over the weekend. My main thought at the moment for Mapper is to try and make sure that the track is "cleared" before closing Mapper especially for long tracks.

OS is OS2006 (3.2006.43-2), I did try OS2007HE but couldn't get Mapper to install (Lib something missing).

Mapper would be 1.4.7-2 for OS2006
