Do you work in some sort of sensitive environment that doesn't allow cameras, camera-phones and the like?

It looks like it might not be too difficult to remove the camera after looking at this video:

I'm not yet ready to rip apart my N800, but if it's easy enough to remove, and doesn't cause any problems, I'd like to pull that sucker out so I could take the N800 with me to more places.
So.. has anyone tried?

Iopening and closing the device itself requires some care or you risk ending up with the frontplate too loose.
Removing the camera also makes it easier for moisture to infiltrate the device and damage the screen (the backlight is sensitive to moisture and corrosion).

I'm not too worried about that, just want to know if the N800 will still function correctly without the camera connected (minus camera functions, of course)
