NOW FIXED - SEE POST 9

I have posted this before in the news thread, its now apparrent Rhapsody wont work in Diablo so am starting own thread to act as warning for those who need Rhapsody.

I'm having a real nightmare installing Rhapsody.....

Am being told I have applications missing:

Application packages missing:
flash-and-reboot (=3)
initfs-flasher (=0.9516-200823maemo2)
kernel-diablo-flasher (=2.6.21-200823maemo3)
osso-ic (>1.0.0)
I followed Matyas's really helpful advice.

you should install becomeroot package (from this repository (Eko One))

1) open the terminal

2) login as root, then use these commands

3.1) apt-get update

3.2) apt-get -f install
you are suppose to respond yes to every question apt-get poses you.

Now you should able to install Rhapsody

Enjoy
But now still get:

Application packages missing:
osso-ic (>1.0.0)
Thinking its the backup causing the problems I reflash and try to install rhapsody on a fresh system but exactly the same problem as before.

Has anyone else been able to install Rhapsody?

Others who report the same issue:

Anyone have more info on the osso-ic missing package?

FWIW, I also cannot install Rhapsody, but the only reason I was trying to install was in order to remove and get rid of the freaking Rhapsody icon in my programs list.

So far nobody has reported it working, if you have it working in Diablo please let us know and how you did it.

I'm having the same problem. I had the same symptoms you described. I followed the steps listed with the same results.
Code:
osso-ic (>= 1.0.0)
I'm looking forward to a solution soon. As a Rhapsody subscriber, the availability of this application was a big reason I bought the N810.

The only solution is wait until that Rhapsody developers create a new package. Note Rhapsody isn't a Nokia application, is a 3rd party application.
The problem is that osso-ic isn't used in Diablo. It was replaced for other library.

There is a not user-friendly solution, download and unpack the rhapsody packages into the / tree. But if you don't know what you are doing, is better you don't do it.

Thanks for the information. Should I re-flash my device to undo the changes I made above. I know what "apt-get update" does but I don't know about the other command.

I have seen a bug reported in maemo.org on this so that is a good start...

However, does anyone know if Rhapsody monitors this forum or if they have a different bug traking system? I checked around rhapsody's support site and was not able to find much about the n810/n800 support?

I called Rhapsody a few times, and they have some tablet aware people there, unless you get the Indians. They even have a tablet. I don't think they monitor this site.

So are they 'aware' of the issue then??? or did you get the normal run-around? I guess it is promising if they actually knew what the tablet was??
