I LIKE IT! Looks and feels very true to original. Ship weapon is a bit too fast, making it too easy to clear a column of aliens. Ship speed is about right.
No 'death' animation. No sounds. Mrrh. But it's somehow fun.

I made these changes to source:
To see your ship, you need to be in fullscreen. Speed is a bit slow. Also pressing home means you will not be able to resume.
Src & bin. Remove zip extension.
