Hi,

I've been following this board for quite some time and just picked up the N810 from Compusa (marked down due to liquidation sale). I have been using the media player this morning and have not been able to get it to recognize the music files on my microsd card. I can use the menu and open the files manually so the device is reading the card but the library can't find them. Do I need to have my media files in a particular folder? I am using the card that was formatted for my N95 so they are under sounds/external.

Thanks for any help

Don

How much is the price in compusa??

Install any of the third party softwares like ukmp, media center or kaju. They are better.

It was 20% off. Knocked off 94.00. I will try a third party app. Are they all updated for the n810?

The metalayer-crawler should find the mp3s and add them to the library automatically unless you've disabled it. Try moving the mp3s out of that directory and putting them directly on the card or remove the card and reinsert it with the Media Player running and it should force a refresh.

If my math is correct that would mean it was $470-$94=$376 (plus tax, about $400) about $40 less than Buy.com.

somehow my media player never recognized the files in my external memory slot. but it recognize them from my internal slot. No big deal coz i rarely use it for play back of mp3's. i use it most for internet radio. for normal mp3 i always use either ukmp or kaju for a2dp.

Well I gave up and installed this ukmp program which is really good. Updated album art and found all my music files. Thanks for the tip. Now can I ask what is the best program for playing video. I have some xvid movies that I want to watch on my vacation roadtrip. Does the built in player suffice or is there a third party app that is better?

Thanks

I had the same problem with Media Player Library when I changed mmc2 for a larger one.Tried all of above remove card, change location... 8-P
I fixed it by uninstalling ogg-support and then reinstalling it. It seems to only find the Library on first install.
