Thanks, but it looks like that involves reflashing the entire device. Is there any way to just update the browser (since I have OS2008)?

I just bought an N810. I have an AJAX-based site that, rather disappointingly, does not do the AJAX bit in the built-in browser. QA bit of Googling turned up the following bug:
https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2101
and I think that is causing the problem. It seems to have been fixed a long time ago. How would I go about updating the browser to the latest version?
