Here is a Quad core arm processor from Marvell called the XP. It is aimed at servers, but It will also be available on consumer devices. So this could be used on low power Linux servers and help cut down on electricity bills. Here is a video of marvell discussing the product http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=no1mOG8FaAw

Where? 10W for a quad-core server-type box sounds absolutely fantastic, but not so great for a battery-operated device.

I'd clarify that - 10W for a notebook would be great. For a phone? No.

Compared to something like an Atom or Nano, maybe not so much. But this chip wasn't designed for mobile devices in the first place so it's an unfair comparison.
