I was installing a few applications via apt-get in the shell. Nothing fancy, I think the last one was gaim.
Then I noticed that my wifi connection was down. So I tap on the connection icon in the toolbar, and I get the Select connection... dialog, only the part above the line is blank (don't remember what it used to say). Strange.
Then, I click on Select connection... and -- nothing. Dialog goes away, no option to choose a wifi connection comes up, just nothing happening.
I can try reflashing again, but restoring my backup takes ages. Is there anything I can do to diagnose and fix this? Some files or logs I might look at? Some way to try connecting from the shell?
