i had to do that. so far ive spent 900 pounds on n900. id buy another too if it came to it.

I catch your drift, but: what if my N900 dies? Also, buying a second N900 doesn't preclude me donating to community devs...

I have recovered a bricked n900 from a friend while he has bought a new one... now i have 2 n900s too :P
There will never come out a device like this again... I think about developing a own phone like the n900 but there is too less time and too much driver developing

certainly understand your wisdom dude

my n900 is broken and currently at nokia waiting repair

i have a thirty day return period with amazon so we shall see although i do not see myself exercising that option

Yeah, I wasn't targetting anyone specific with that remark - I just thought that if I had the money to buy extra N900 freely floating around (let's face it, a lot of us N900 fans want an extra spare or two), I have about 6 developers I really want to donate to, and the wave of wishing I could do so made me say that.

At the end of the day I understand buying extra N900s, and certainly have been tempted to do so myself.
