2) delete /var/lib/dpkg/status and try again to see what happens.
3) failing that, I would edit /var/lib/dpkg/status deleting the offending fapman entry and retry
root leafpad /var/lib/dpkg/status

Thanks misiak. I copied the entry you attached and replaced mine with it, now I'm not getting an errors and I am now able to uninstall apps through fapman, I havnt checked HAM yet.
Do you need me to enter any commands into xterminal for more info?.
