There is the NOKIA logo, but no back light on the screen. I can't see the little usb icon showing up or not.

What about charging the whole battery and try again? (Also see if there is any green light when it is fully charged...)

He was connected to the charger the whole night... No green light.

Maybe the battery is faulty? Did you try putting the one from your 2nd n900?

Tried that, same problem.

Charged the battery with universal charger, same problem.

Well technology was made to be understood, but hell with this, this is black magic by Nokia...

I never experienced this much unexplainable with any other devices...

Just modded my Motorola E8 for telnet and guess what it's working, so nothing wrong with ME.
