ok, but its not higher version number, its the region code

001 - Europe (1), Latin/South America, South Africa
003 - China
005 - Asia/Pacific (incl. Australia/New Zealand, excl. China)
006 - Middle East
009 - Europe (2)
2xx, 3xx, 4xx - "Country Variant" and carrier-branded images

Yes, but even region code counts as higher version.
So even with same firmware you cannot go from 005 (Asia) to 001 (Europe) anymore. You would need a higher firmware release (which will never come anymore).

Have a look at mrcrab.net for any images, but first clarify your situation before any wild flashing

@peterleinchen: thanks for info, but its strange

@mautz: yes, i tried this. the base sim is not working in my n9 (i have two with 009 and one with 005)

but actually it looks that the base sim card is working with 005. 2 days without any problems.
my problem is that, i have to send the phone back, due to display errors.
i dont know, if i will get a 005 back. so i would like to understand the problem.

does anybody has an idea, is there a difference between the region.

thanks all for supporting me ...
