no. you have to go under settings->phone->data counter (I don't know if in english the option is that one, my phone is in portuguese) and you can rest from there... but hope for the next update it comes with a auto monthly/weekly reset config.

The Dataplan Monitor was working fine for me (great App!), but since I have updated my phones firmware (to version 10.2010.06-14) the monitor is no longer counting. It just stays at zero, even though I am sure I am transferring data :-)

I tried to reset the data counter and un/re-install the App, but no luck! Anyone got any ideas what I could do to resolve/investigate this?

Great widget but I must say that i had some performance problems with my desktop(switching applications, closing them, all menu animations, touch detection) and after closing this widget and pedometer widget my performance went back to normal.

I DO NOT KNOW if it was just my current setup or some weird glitch but i just wanted to say that keep on eye how you desktop behaves. There could be some memory leak on hildon how it handles widgets. I do not have adequate skills to debug this. Also I do not know how exactly reproduce this :| Maybe after 2-3 days uptime in certain conditions you start to notice that your desktop is not anymore so responsive. Just something to keep on eye

But great work here!

I installed Dataplan Monitor and I noticed that even if I am doing nothing the counter is slowly increasing with time.
I would like to ask if there is a way in maemo (eventually commands from xterm) in order to check which application/process in responsible for the data transfer.
Thank you in advance

your connection to 2G or 3G might still be on, if you have a data plan, sms, mms, emails are also included in the date (but not charge by service)

I don't know if the author is reading this topic. Anyway I would like to ask him if would it be possible to have in the widget the possibility to make a partial reset of the counter month by month without resetting the main counter in the telephone. So that I could see both the total traffic with time and the month traffic.
I mean I would like 2 counters. I have no idea if it would be an easy implementation or not of this FUNDAMENTAL APPLICATION that Datplan monitor is.
I don't know if I was able to explain correctly...

That has been bugging me for the past two months, and despite a number of searches I couldn't find the answer - nice one fella

Whilst I agree with the potential enhancements to the monitor, I think that there is a lot of antagonism being portayed to both the OP and the Dev who designed this app. By the same token, some of the retorts from other members is perhaps a little harsh and unjustified.

Just remember, regardlesss of whether you got laid last night or not, that language is a powerful tool and can be very easily miscontrued in forums. Think carefully before you post anything vaguely inflammatory
