Hello. I would like an app that does something good.

Rather than specifying exactly what I want, I think just encouraging the number of available apps to increase will increase the chances of an app that I want coming into existance.

Thanks.

There are tons and tons and tons more Android and iPhone users in the world than N900. Probably like at least 100 times more. N900 has about 500 apps.(although, about half of them are unfinished or buggy) If there were as many N900 users as Android, we would also have that much more apps. Simple as that.

Now that N900 is getting released in Hong Kong and Australia, we should end up with some more talented developers joining the N900 band wagon.

But once Symbian3 and MeeGo phones are released and Qt apps start appearing, we should be able to enjoy some if not most apps on the N900 also.

So we (non-developers) just need to wait. Maybe 3-6months.

Well Nokia certainly are not helping with the situation..at all.

Personally, I am very grateful to all the developers here. They are the ones providing anything for Maemo.

I don't agree with you that there are few apps. Sure there are less than Android or iphone..but let's face it most of them are useless. Only a handful of their applications are useful. Like who needs 50 news apps? And 40 stock apps.. And the developers here did do some of the most important apps anyone will ever need. Sure there are more, but not a lot. Games are increasing little by little too. The only shortcomings really are from Nokia. 99% of complaints are: lack of portrait mode, lack of T9 entry system, ovi maps, lack of equalizer, playlist creation etc..all Nokia's responsability. We should pressure them not post here. The community is very active and I must say the results are improving.

How long have you had your phone? Who has had the phone for over two months will have surely notice that new apps and games are coming in almost everyday. Well that's pretty darn good in my books. You should really post what bapplications you want instead of saying you want more applications. Maybe some developer will be interested and might do it.

until nokia fixes n900 ovi store, you are not gonna see major developing companies make apps for n900

I know there is not HUGE amount of apps available but I have yet to pay for any of the ones I have downloaded and used!

I feel that if Devs charge for their work they may be motivated to make more. The apps I have tried and used are really cool and work nice. The recent one I been using is MyTube, this works great, little buggy but I'm sure it will get better.

I would not mind paying for such apps, I paid for the apps with WM and Android and many more, why not with the N900?
So what if it's open thing, I want devs to get paid and make much much more apps.

I like to make a list of the app I would love to see for the N900. If there is such an app please post a link. I'm sure it will benefit other people as well.

If this thread is of no value to you please use the backspace and ignore. Thanks.

Would like and app like
- SPB Wallet. Love this app.
- ANY .PUB reader
- An app or hack that will allow me to double click a certain keyboard button so I can open the multiTask screen. I dont like using TWO buttons for this. Or did I miss something BESIDES the top left corner screen?

Also, some more games! Action SIMPLE shootem games, nothing complicate. Racing games, and so forth. I tried the game OpenArena, MAN! This N900 can play intense graphic games! Intance enough for me thats for sure. If devs/people can make this game I can only imagine what they can do with simpler style games.

Like I said, devs NEED to get paid for this!
