Which of the suggestions listed above did you try? What were the results?

Did you look at the log available in App Mgr? Did it tell you anything revealing?

I think that the best bet is to delete your extras-devel catalog and then type in the info new. That would get rid of any file corruption, which can be invisible to mere humans.

Maybe it would be good if you would show us how each field in the extras-devel catalog is completed.

I haven't had a problem with access to extras-devel for days, at least. But intermittent problems have not been unusual.

Had the same problem. Had to fill in the other fields in the repository definitions as they appear for the testing repository with the obvious changes:
Catalog Name: Maemo.org Extras-Devel
Web Address: repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/
Distribution: Fremantle
Components: free non-free

after that it worked like a charm

That's similar to the notice I got.

could you post a screen shot showing the other fields in the repository configuration? (catalog name etc.)

i got it working now, by using 'f' instead of 'F' in distribution: fremantle. these settings got me going

"Catalog Name: Maemo.org Extras-Devel
Web Address: repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/
Distribution: fremantle
Components: free non-free"

Yeah, you have to be very careful with the settings - they are case sensitive and space sensitive.
