Very low and none are not the same. What if the theft is an n900 user themself than what? Most phone thieves remove the batt after they steal the phone so it can't be called if they haven't left the place yet. I think it's safe to say if someone picks up a phone and its ringing they going straight for the batt cover to remove batt. IMO
concerning grabbing the battery: well you can remove the battery with every similar app. this app might be usefull in places like the gym, when you go to the toilet for e.g, where other people are around, as soon as the alarm goes off it draws attention and i doubt that the thief will want to remove the battery when people are looking at him.
but given that it can be shut down using the power key i wouldnt download it.

For fun:
My daughter was in the bed, I snuck the N900 onto her bed, armed it, snuck to the room door, grabbed a ball of yarn, threw it and hit the N900 and shut the door........
She screamed aaaaahhhhhhhhh and much laughter and smiles all around!
That was priceless. Thanks offscreen and OP for making me aware of the app. All complaints aside, my N900 can do one more thing than it could do yesterday

The name of the winmo app was dont touch me aka DTM. I say google it maybe it can be ported over to the n900. I liked it cause it sounded like a real car alarm lol. Real handy when you meet a chick and she don't trust you and always going for your phone and wanting to see your phone just set it and fall asleep and BAM 3:46 in the morning its going off lol

Well I think all thieves know that once a phone's battery is removed it wont work anymore. So its really all the same how easy any of these "alarm systems" are to switch off. Removing the battery is a master key.
And I don't think that te N900 community has a lot of "common folk" that might get confused into thinking this is a real protection system.
I don't get it why we hang on Ovi to save us from our thirst for apps: the Ovi store is the culmination point of all the silly doo-dah apps out there (besides the Angry Birds game) while the real apps we want can be found in the repos.

the funny thing is how some oh so smart people here keep telling us that this application does not lock your phone and prevent people from switching it off or removing the battery or switching applications...- when it never claimed it'd do any of this.
the description says it will play an alarm when the sensors detect as motion. that's pretty much it.
maybe all that's missing is reading skills.
