You can't give such stuff to consumers on a mobile phone. They'd brick the device in no time, or at least get frightened about that weird new thing that appears when you switch on. It would become a support nightmare.

Be happy that PR 1.3 will make it easier to create dual boot, but only if you know what you do. Consumers couldn't care less, anyway.

MIcrosoft has that with USB pens in xbox 360, it's not so difficult in the end....

Very much yes , i had thought so before .. MeeGo is still under it's development stage ... i guess Nokia will just be using it for development purposes on the N900 , probably maybe the N9 might have the actual OS implemented ... and yes ofcourse we might have it Actual one implemented on the N900 as well later on ...

So for now we will just have to wait for the PR1.3 update , and we might get to test the MeeGo Platform . I really don't mind that .

I'll be brief:

If you are a "consumer", then the N900 is not for you. Go get an iPhone.

There are other kinds of consumers, too, but not the majority.

If you bought your N900, you're a "consumer" too. I think a qualifying word is missing from the above verbiage.

How about non-savvy consumer perhaps to help differentiate when people are talking about such sub-groups.

That's the question, or rather what is Nokias definition of consumer, or more precisely; what is Nokias definition of consumer this time?

If Nokia has a problem, it is communication. They don't know how to connect with people anymore. (People = consumers for every manufacturer of consumer-devices)
