Click on the icon on the left of the screen with the "two people" and choose "View Inbox"

Once the Inbox loads up then click on menu at the top of the screen labeled "E-mail - Inbox" and choose "Accounts" -> "Manage"

You should just have one account listed in there which is tagged as your <default>. Make sure it's highlighted and click the "Edit" button.

Then walk through the configuration. On step 4 there is a button labeled "Advanced" that you will need to press to get into the more advanced Incoming/Outgoing settings which gmail makes use of.
