I think that one of the first things I'm going to try and do is see if the Flash-based pbskids.org site will be usable. The OLPC XO is almost completely incapable of this, I learned to my and my daughter's chagrin. Anyone with a device willing to give that a try and tell me the results?

I can almost guarantee it's not going to work... pbskids.org uses a mix of flash and shockwave, the latter of which is not available for linux. Making shockwave work on x86 hardware requires wine + windows firefox + mozplugger to embed the windows version of shockwave into the linux firefox process. It's an ugly hack, and won't work here.

Once Nokia gives birth to this phone...I'm going to adopt it into my family of Nokia devices. After which, I'm going to give it a name (USB profile that is...) and then I'll let it rest, let it gain its strength from such a long journey. I'll feed it with electricity as it rests. After the awkward hello's its off to a bitter life of slavery...

If my gadget history is any indicator, I'll treat it with kid gloves, always put it in the case, have one or two days of enjoyable use... then somehow drop it or scratch it, or some other form of damage will occur. Hopefully it won't be as bad as my N95... I dropped it in a parking lot and broke the screen! 1 week after buying it... I didn't even have a data plan yet!

Use it every day, on school and at home. Use it to simplify my life. Play games on it. Watch internet pages. But I think I wait 'till the N1???, so it's a bit irrelevant to say what I'm gonna do with the N900...

How about the first thing you do is... insure it.

For me: I will hug it and squeeze it and call it George.
