Changelog:
* Added parallax (to transitions.ini) and zoom on press to hildon-desktop.
* Fixed modest's New Message button.
* Forced hildon-home's maximum number of desktops to 9.
* Minor UI change for libcpaboutcssu.

To get the changes for hildon-desktop, just edit traisitions.ini
New lines here for those who want to append the changes: http://gitorious.org/community-ssu/h...ons.ini#line43

Second change is to prepare modest for proper portrait mode.
Third one's for the issue some of you have been getting in this thread.

Just one question, what do you think of the rate of updates?
I get excited everytime I wake up and see that little yellow icon blinking.
As long as they keep making my N900 better, as they have been, I am all for it.
Thanks for yours and the other CSSU's work on this MohammadAG.

Yeah that's exactly what it is - set it to 3.0 or higher for crazy results!

One thing I've noticed since this update is that the desktop background doesn't loop properly anymore. I have 4 desktops and after the 4th one you can see the harsh line between that and the 1st. It's not related to parallax I don't believe as the background still moves at the same rate. Any suggestions?

isn't there any way to make the z axis rotation not blink? I think that would be like super cool right? what's hindering that from happening?

zoom while pressing is cool...... hahaha... MORE options for us!

nice that now we can control the paralax of the panning of desktops~... again another option for us...

that's why i like this phone. There's just SO much flexibility. ON/OFF up to us

It would indeed be super cool. Patches welcome. thp, mardy & Mohammad can explain why it's hard (at some point the orientation needs to switch, and the app needs to redraw in the other rotation).

It would be nice if the portrait mode would work like on the Nokia Symbian phones. I mean that it would stay in portrait mode until tilted back to landscape. Now the portrait mode is on only when the phone is tilted right side down, and it goes back to landscape when tilted in any other direction.

I'd imagine the stable repository would have less frequent updates, after all we want to have lots of test plans which we crowdsource to know that the SSU works before declaring a release "stable" - these would take time to execute. However, hopefully the -testing repository would stay with relatively frequent updates - it all depends on how many developers get involved!

I'm in no way a person to create patches like that... wish I could really... no need to explain.. i'm sure that there is solid reason why it can't be done at the moment... just glad to know it's 'hard' instead of 'impossible'

thanks to the cssu team for making this thread albeit the n900 a huge hit again
