i hate that it has not capacitive screen and no amoled .... mutitouch is not so important to me... but nokia should prepare the devices for the future beacause the hw is avaliable....

i know amoled and capacitive touch makes it expensiver...

but yes i would also pay 1000 eur for this device....

defo, battery

mine wont charge past 86% - ive installed a few widgets to keep an eye on it, and its not good.

I always put the phone into offline mode a night and leave it charging, when I awake from slumber the charge status is at 97% as soon as I seperate the device from charge it goes straight to 86% within 2 minutes, every morning with out fail, buy about lunch time even if I havnt used the phone at all the battery is always below 50%.

You realise there's a precision difference between capacitive and resistive, and that capacitive only works with things that conduct electricity like a finger, so you cant use it while wearing gloves, for example.. ?

I hate:

The camera shutter slider bulge; means the device rocks when using the keyboard if it is on a flat surface like a table

The lack of a 3x4 dial pad for entering text, and T9 text prediction

That the on screen keyboard doesnt correct your spelling (Iphone is very good at guessing the right word if your fingers accidentally press the adjacent "keys" to the one you want)

The battery lasts barely a day

Portrait mode is limited; for what most people would use a phone for (other than calls) such as texting, it's near unusable in one hand

What I hate the most about the N900: no CISCO LEAP support. Just awful!

- the 15 minute alarm I take off for each appointment I make
- Stupid Timezone implementation that changes all meeting times
- there could be an option for SMS "old style" as well as threaded
- there should be more and configurable profiles, like power save etc
- MS office file viewer should be included free, its basic functionality
- Nokia should provide an easy n' safe "restore factory settings" tool
- All #xx* codes should be supported, very odd omission on Nokias side

But its a great gadget!

The fact I cant use the messaging manager in ovi suite. I love being able to send / recieve / organise and backup my text messages on the pc. So useful if you got a long text to write, and sometimes I want to keep important messages on my pc and then be able to delete them from my phone. This is one of the apps I long for to be working on ovi suite.

That it seems to generate endless threads like this.

Other then that, it's an awesome device.

I mean, it's a phone - I've got way better things to do then HATE a phone. That's kinda like hating rocks.
