Nothing that cause you data loss (well, other than what you caused by corrupting MyDocs).

@ Op try to fsck it again, if that doesn't work I'd say just reflash the whole eMMC.

how have i corupted myDocs?

is there something wrong since threre is so few apps I can install?
do the log file i posted say something about what's wrong?

Removing the battery, disconnecting the device from a PC without safely removing it, list can go on...

@ OP, just flash the eMMC, backup contacts and calendar entries etc... using the Backup app.
It's not a 3.2010.02-8 issue.

it checks and, if necessary, fixes the filesystem.
more or less, what windows does if you do not shut it down correctly.

fsck means "file system check" and vfat is for the dos file system (to make it short; there are others too, eg for ext3).
-a
means don't ask and fix automatically.
one needs to do that both as root and on the actual partition (/dev/mmcblk0p1).
normally, the partition has to be unmounted and fsck would complain if that's not the case ...

try to type in an x-term (does nothing to your system, just prints info)

mount

it will list the mountet partitions with their names, mount points and file systems, for instance:

/dev/mmcblk0p2 on /home type ext3 (...)

means
partition /dev/mmcblk0p2 is mounted to directory /home and has the fs type ext3, (...) is a list of parameters, like read/write and stuff.

could you post the output of:
mount
df -h
dpkg -C
?
should all be possible w/o being root and just print some info.

Partition got corrupt (home partition), I could've told you to fsck.ext3 it, but it would require unmounting /home, and I doubt it would be easy since most optified apps run off of it.

i know this is a bit off topic but im sorry becuase i cant find anything about how to fix the problem i have with n900. its that every time i download anything via ovi store, pre installed apps, or just checking for updates. the app manager comes on and the progress bar only oges half way before stoppin at "insta" in the word installation. making me havin to maualy to cancel the installation because it dosent proceed further than that.and i when i go into log i see this erroe : http://repository.maemo.org fremantle release: the following signatures were invalid: BADSIG E40DC43616730BD mameo.org extras repositories (fremantle extras) <repositories@mameo.org>.....please any one help me. thanks !!!
