Mine does not work either anymore. It used to work. Now the flash LEDs quickly just flash but do not stay on, althoughnthe item in Desktop menu seem to toggle normal way ON and OFF.

You need to launch the camera app once after each boot -- it does something to initialize the camera, and after that the flashlight works. Note that if you have the flashlight "on" (but not working), the camera app won't start, thus won't fix the problem.

wow i had no idea that I could scroll down on the battery menu. It's there thats allot.. yesss.
