There's a doble ascii conversion that's segfaulting, gdb says:
0x0003ad58 <g_ascii_formatd+155404>: ldrb r1, [r0]
whenever I press "APRS TNC" or "APRS Server" buttons inside the APRS menu.
Can you provide the source or a binary with debug symbols?

In my case the APRS works OK, but segfaults 100% every time when i am leaving the Settings menu. the setting does get saved, fortunately.
Yes, please share the code so improvements and additional features can be added, like smart beaconing and perhaps object creating... look at my creation, unfortunately i have had no time to look at making python-elementary run on n900: http://atrack.googlecode.com/

Effectively, the problem is in the APRS configuration.
Whenever I edit the config, leaving the dialog kills mapper. Sometime after saving the settings, sometimes _before_.
The problem I had was likely an error in my original configuration, which I have not anymore since I've reinstalled all.
I think it should be a validation of the config prior to try to set potentially wrong values at APRS startup.
Let me know if I can help in any way.

Test results:
1. When I leave some settings blank. When exit settings menu,The mappper may be fault.
2. When I fill all setiings (Text Area) with some value. The mappper always OK.
