Cheers, I remember using that link during my ownership of the n900. Everything worked reasonably well with the mobile browser google maps except pinch to zoom. You were able to double tap to zoom in, but short of refreshing the page, there was no way to zoom out.

It's a good way to get to Latitude as well.

were you using the default browser, microb? Did using the volume buttons not zoom you out? I can understand the frustration otherwise

They worked for zooming in and out on the whole page, but not for zooming out on just the map.

I have been a google maps user for years, i love the thorough searches, but nokia maps so far hasnt been bad. Although directions can use some work and a freeway that opened an year ago is still not on there (google had it the next day 52east from 125 to 67). The directions to a bank inside a big shopping plaza guides me to the point on the street and there is no entrance on that side and thats after going past the plaza and making a U-turn, if i had made a left at the street before, it woulda took me right into the plaza, thats San diego for you.
P.S. I have hundreds of favorites on my google account, how do i bring them to nokia maps?

Was curious about the same thing. I havent found a way to import all google maps favourites but one way to manually do this is to go to
maps.nokia.com and log in with your nokia account. You can then see any favourites you might have added on your N9 and vice versa. So a long tedious solution is to re-add all favourites on your computer and they should sync with nokia maps.

Update: To ensure the sync happens you need to open Favourites from the N9 Maps and hit the sync icon (two arrows icon)

Regarding corrections to Nokia Maps, go to help once you're logged in and read this.

What is Map Creator?

Map Creator lets you add streets and roads in selected countries to Nokia Maps. You can also change the map and make corrections if you find something wrong.

With Map Creator, you can describe what type of road you're adding and include information about the surface condition, how well the road is lit, how fast you can drive on it, if it is a one- or two-way thoroughfare and much more.

Just opened 'Drive' to see if the favourites you save in Maps carry over and they do not. Unless I cant see the option to 'Drive' to a favourite? What rubbish. Majorly disappointed.

Update:
Ok so if you go to a favourite within Maps, and hit navigate (using the car symbol) it opens up Drive. How very Nokia to make this simple.
