As I'd said earlier, there's only a 'Devices' section and nothing more specific than that. That's an incredible oversight.
I think you're overreacting to make a point. At MWKN we cover anything Maemo related we think will be interesting to someone; mainly because we'll accept submissions from anyone. If no-one's contributing N8x0 news which you're aware of, submit it yourself. If no-one's making N8x0 news, well there's not much can be done about that.

Recent N8x0 highlights which have been covered by MWKN:

That's in the last 3 issues. I can't seriously take the "incredible oversight" about a lack of specific section for N8x0 news when a) there's comparatively little of it and b) MWKN isn't overflowing with news. Skimming the complete issue for news of interest should take 5 minutes.

Short version: if MWKN doesn't carry the news you want, submit it. If you don't like it, tell us why. If you still don't like it, start your own. There's nothing maemo.org "official" about it. More contributors are always welcome.

A problem that we have is that different parts are stretched between talk, wiki, etc. Can we have a central page for the project? Something like maemo.org/diablo

Which project? I'm not sure whose blessing you're asking for. If you want to create a diablo homepage and portal at http://wiki.maemo.org/Diablo, feel free :-)

We've got Diablo wiki pages. What I'm asking for is a central page that would contain some relevant content and links to the wiki, forum threads, etc. A place where people could land on to get the related information they want.

That does sound like a good idea. Something like a maemo.org/diablo could be the 'homepage' for Diablo users and all relevant links (wiki and not) gathered on one page.
Maybe even more importantly a 'What's New'-section where items like the SSU, etc could be posted....and then that page could be used by the tableteer app

Since it wouldn't be a static page - and not a wiki - there would be the issue about who makes the updates, how is content selected, maintained, etc.

You do know you can do anything you want in a wiki page? Why does the choice of technology limit what you can do?

Trust me, you'd rather edit stuff in MediaWiki than Midgard ;-)

You can make a wiki page a portal (i.e. a jumping off point to other places), embed RSS feeds, put images in, whatever you like. If it scratches your itch, do it.

For example, http://wiki.maemo.org/Mer is a MediaWiki page; as is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page. You can just get started, and put as much style and design into it as you want.

Please, not that it matters much this particular time, but for future reference when you choose to quote and edit the quote:

"An ellipsis consists of exactly three dots called ellipsis points—never two dots, never four dots—just three dots.

Most style guides call for a space between the dots. Typesetters and page designers use something called a thin space or a non-breaking space that prevents the ellipsis points from getting spread over two lines in a document (6). Also, many fonts have an ellipsis symbol that you can insert, but for everyday purposes, it's fine to use regular spaces between the ellipsis points. Type period-space-period-space-period (7).

Also, there should always be a space on each side of an ellipsis."

Maybe especially important for a moderator to lead by example on something like this

Thanks, I guess I never really think of Wiki pages being able to look like in th examples you provided. Looking at them I would agree in that there is no reason a page that that couldn't be maintained in a wiki page.

Yes. The reason for the choice is poor visibility of wiki pages.

Ok. I didn't realize Midgard was so bad as to affect editing simple content.
