I asked the T-Mobile support about using the n900 with the Total Internet Plan ($39.99 per month). They said it might work. Has anyone tried using the Total Internet plan with the n900?

I was thinking that if I had the total Internet plan, combined that with n900 and skype, then I would not need voice. Does this make sense?

Doesn't skype require internet access? If so, I assume receiving calls would require an always on connection which would significantly suck up your battery.

Why would it use more battery then waiting for a voice call?

I recently switched to the TMobile plan and got the $25 data plan ( I wanted a 9.99 plan but the damned guy scanned my N95 IMIE and siad I had to take a smartphone plan).

But even with the $25 data plan the network positioning does not work for me.
I left it on for around 7-10mins indoors - and it still does not work for me.

Data is always on and works fine. But I am thinking I will downgrade to the 9.99 plan and see how it works.

Disclaimer: was too lazy to read all of the posts.

I work at t-mo and have had to trouble shoot MMS on an IPhone. Turns out when using epc, people were only able to receive, but not send MMS. As soon as they used voicestream, the problem corrected itself.

Granted, the N900 doesn't currently support MMS, but it may be worth noting for the future...

Right now i am on 10.99 (9.99) Plan . I have changed my APN to internet2.voicestream.com. for me everything is working fine. even i am able to make calls over skpe and the browsing seems fine to..

I have some problem with gps as i guess AGps is not registering the satellite in my location.. But sometimes this works too like right now agps is working i have not changed any setting nothing but most of the time it doesn't work.

Is there anyway we can check how may satellite its connected i remember we have setting to check number of satellite connected in nokia s60 phones but i am not able to find in n900 anywhere.. is there any application available for this
