t_moyashi, could you provide a command line instruction for removing Quasar, libxinerama1_1.0.1-4.1, and libqt3-mt_3.3.7 please. It's a nice program and all but including a way to remove it would be even nicer.

I'm spoiled by YouAmps "search" feature that I use to build playlists from.

congratulations!!! thiis is a FANTASTIC mediaplayer!!!
it reads without problem all my playlists created in m3u... the interface is intuitive (itunes xD lol) and it's quick!!! and uses mPlayer for videos (so it can read anything)

very very useful!!!

a minor request may be the implementation of the OSK...this wuould make it PERFECT! (because i cannot search or save any playlist on my n800 ç_ç)

for the n810 user is already near-perfect as mediaplayer!!

This looks really interesting and I'll try it out.
Any chance this will be accessible through the Extras repo though so that future updates can be caught?

I'm trying to install this but it's failing for me.
I set my app managed in red pill mode.
I go to the garage site and click on libxinerama1_1.0.1-4.1_armel.deb and select 'Open'. When trying to now install it from the app manager I get 'incompatible application package'

1) Any help on the above? I'd love to try this one out,
2) Will this ever come packaged into one deb - and in the extras repo? And if not, what is the reason for requiring this cumbersome install?

you have to use the dpkg commands, yeah I've fighted a lot with xD

I Have the files in the mmc2, in a subdirectory "programs" and a sub-subdirectory "quasar"...

gain root in xterm and write:

dpkg -i /media/mmc2/programs/quasar/libxinerama1_1.0.1_4.1_armel.deb

then:
dpkg -i /media/mmc2/programs/quasar/libqt3-mt_3.3.7_armel.deb

and in the end:

dpkg -i /media/mmc2/programs/quasar/quasar_0.96r172r31-maemo1_armel.deb

with me worked fine ^_^
(ps: relook to the filename in the command I've wrote, I may be wrong, but the command is right xD xD)

Thanks, gonna try it right away

Edit: Worked great that way - thanks!
And wow; that's quite the music player. Looks great.
Almost an overwhelming number of options but it was rather easy to set up the basics I wanted.
Very nice...

Can't believe I've only just come across this. So simple and quick, it takes the best bits from my two favourite players, Canola and XMMS, and makes an awesome player! However, I think the buttons should have better uses. For example, the + and - keys could change tracks or volume, with full-screen or dpad centre for pause/play. Then, there would be a perfect Maemo player!

Edit: Ah. I just came across customisable hotkeys in configuration. I feel rather stupid now

Yeah the key congiuration is completely personalizable = )

personally on my n800, I use the -\+ key as previous/next song, right and left as +15/-15 secs on the track, the back arrow as pause and the f4 (the "menu key") as "add new directory to the playlist" xD it gives a really quick ability to create/manipulate playlists even Without the stylus ^_^

There is much too like about this app, but on both my N800 & N810 just touching the slider (horizontal scroll bar) for the album art crashes Quasar.
