I'll follow your advice and watch some videos, thanks.

So far, the more experience I have with Android, the more I appreciate my N900.

There's always the ability to install Debian as well, to get back some of that Posix experience that you lost moving over. I'm guessing it should play somewhat comfortably on the Tegra 2 @ 1280x800, but with a slow refresh.

Yeah, I think Apple's obsession with Keep It Simple Stupid makes the keyboard accessory a non-slam-dunk. They may think, "If the iPad comes with a keyboard accessory, then perhaps some lazy developers won't make their apps completely finger-friendly. And if we add a keyboard, some developers will have apps that aren't keyboard-friendly and some customers might have a less-than-stellar experience. So wouldn't we be saying by including a keyboard that developers have to make their apps finger-friendly AND keyboard-friendly? Oh my... oh my... I think my brain is about to explode!"

Perhaps I'm overstating it, but remember that there is a reason why the iOS devices still do not come with a stylus.

One always tends to prefer what one is familiar with to the new and unknown. Right now, I have mostly been charging. I like my system with the N900, which is to charge in an external charger and then replace the battery with a fresh one when it gets low. The disadvantage of having to plug the device in to charge it is particularly noticeable with the EEE Pad Transformer, since its electrical cord is a) proprietary and b) short. The docs (which are incredibly brief and don't cover things I would like to know, like how I know it's chargingJ say you need to charge the battery for 8 hours when you first get it, and I think that might be an underestimate. The shortness of the charging cord means if you want to play with it while it is charging, you are forced to stay awkwardly close to the outlet. The proprietary nature of the charging means you can't replace the cord with a longer one.

Most of the videos I've seen so far pay almost no attention to charging, because they have the keyboard, which is not yet available in the US the last I heard (and I don't have a spare $150 at the moment). It appears that the keyboard will solve most charging problems.

Very interesting.. I was totally expecting something like vi and config files.

I would like to see companies taking PDMI more seriously. As I understand it, it is open and has the power provisions to handle the an object as hungry as a tablet. It also has other notable features worthy of serious consideration, instead of the DIY movement currently underway with manufacturers.

As per the wiki, this "standard" was created under the chairmanship of MS....after knowing what MS did for the ISO open document standard; I would not trust any "standard" by MS.

I can't see why Hulu would work here--HULU is blocking whole platforms at a time (Android, iOS, Playbook, etc.), so even though this now a laptop form-factor, Hulu would still be blocked.

FURTHER urging the need to ask, "Why differentiate? What, really, is the difference between a series of 1's and 0's on a desktop computer, a laptop, a tablet or a mobile device or anything else for that matter?" The people running Hulu (or forcing their hand, or both) appear to be myopic technology Luddites or idiots.
