Is it not called Avkon, the UI for Symbian? I don't know.

WP7 was said not to do native development, which is a fairly big showstopper even if someone decided to port

They need to focus on core development then. Bad news, but at the same time, things doesn't add up within Nokia. Samsung develops Bada in no time, and Nokia cannot deliver anything, not MeeGo or Symbian. Symbian^3 is out now, but MeeGo?

Looks to me that MeeGo or Symbian will be axed very soon. They can't axe Symbian, or they will loose everything. Bad news for MeeGo on Nokia. And the N9 will run Bada, or maybe WebOS, or Symbian, or WP7. Well, anything but Android

What's with the spreading of FUD around here these days? Why do people make wholly unfounded statements like this?

I don't know, but I remember when I bought my 770, I thought the interface had a strong family resemblance to the S90 experience on my 7710.

An S90 was a very clean touch interface on top of Symbian.

I just ordered an N8 because I want to see how this new device behaves. I may keep it beyond the 14 days, in which case I'll sell my N900 for what I can get. And I will miss it!

I'll be interested in seeing how Nokia moves to update the Symbian device. I'll still rotate it out when the first Meego device arrives.
