I recommend libraries.
However, this is a PERFECT opportunity to click on the Wiki above -- see it there? On the main page on this site.
There is a section devoted to ebooks and where to get them.
I am currently enamored with www.wowio.com but the Gutenberg Project has enough good reading to keep anyone for more than a lifetime. I'm currently rereading Jane Austen downloaded from there.
