I want to use Ubuntu, but the newest useable version is Karmic!
Since then, Ubuntu is compiled with thumb2. which causes random reboots on N900. The other OSes are as quite as old, when i say generic linux i think of an environment where common programms could be precompiled without optifying and fitting their gui to maemo. For example: (real) Firefox, Gimp, Inkscape, OpenOffice, Eclipse, Kile and so on...
