hope this is the right section.

i tried to add the voice navigation to nokia maps on my N900 but to no avail so I decided to remove the mods, put it back to how it was and try again.

now, when I start nokia maps, I just get the 1st screen with the blue line going backwards and forwards across the screen. I left it for over an hour but it hadn't changed.

I can only assume I inadvertantly deleted a file that is needed.

I was working in the /usr/share/nokia-maps and the /usr/share/nokia-maps/html folders.

Wondered if some kind soul (with working nokia maps) could tell me what they have in those folders so I can compare, or possible even upload a copy of them so I can copy the original files back.

thanks in advance

Sorry to sound unhelpful, but voice navigation? The N900 is the only recent Nokia phone to be given Ovi maps but *without* voice nav.

I'm not sure what you were trying to do, but smarter people than me might be able to help you out. Good luck!

i tried to remove the mods by deleting the index.html (and putting the original version back) but I also deleted some other files (names forgotton) as I stupidly thought they weren't needed

You probably should be able to reinstall osso-maps? (I hope that's what it's called)
Doesn't hurt to give it a shot

sudo apt-get install --reinstall osso-maps
