i mean, really!?

TS patents? cmon its commonly licensable technology from one of many vendors. gestures and stuff like that are dicier but if you license from a company then they are the ones responsible not the "end user/desginer" youre not reinventing the wheel ... whoever developed the TS array that you use is. im pretty sure swiping in different directions isnt patentable. specific application gestures however may not be so lenient.

worrying about patents is so far down the framework or creating a device that its almost putting a cart before the horse, i feel. while a valid concern i dont think that should be the biggest initial concern. i dunno.

But isn't the crazy patent stuff only in the US?
I mean, protocols and specific tech can be patented in europe, GSM included, but can "tagging a person in a picture" really be patented over here?

Hey guys. So will the Meego Harmattan device sport an olephobic display with Gorilla glass. And I heard that the the new technology that is in the display is similiar to the BB RIM technology surepress technology. What with Nokia's Statements "Future Disruptions" & "Our next Sense". Does this screen supposedly pic up on actions or gestures from without touching the screen?

@ zehjotkah

i prefer open model. I like to know what is going on. Altough closed model gives more excitement.

it is hilarious that many of the same people who pride themselves in buying a device with an olephobic coating are also likely the same ones who immediately put a screen protector on it...
