hi folks!

i used to have a green battery status widget/app on my desktop, i downloaded it from the app manager when i bought my n900. its the one with the fat horizontal green battery icon that displays the remaining power in %.

my n900 crashed a few weeks ago. whilst i am able to find pictures of the app/widget online, i cant find it in the app manager although its one of the very standard ones.

can anyone tell me the name and where i can find it?

Hi, it look like it is 'battery', and you can install it as root with :

Code:
apt-get install battery
The obligatory screenshot :

is there any similar widget but with more features closer to nokia battery monitor for symbian devices?

http://store.ovi.com/content/132519

not only percentage value, but also estimate time remaining using current load (texting, listening to music, view map with gps on)
and it also shows time estimate until fully charged when charging

edit
okay my apology for this huge pic. is there any way to show only thumbnail in this forum without have to resize it manually or upload it to another image hosting site?

Now battery widget is in extras-testing. You can test it and vote for moving to extras on:
