Like NvyUs said CBD is about putting new layer, SAMOLED actually removes some layers and they are most thinnest screens in mass production at the moment.

NvyUs yes i know that about CBD but somebody still needs to make that screen and it certainly isn't Nokia and i doubt CBD is in any way Nokia's invention.

CBD as far as I know is not a "screen". It's a standard AMOLED screen with a new filter on top. Much like anti-reflective layer but more advanced. Some really expensive plasma TVs use them. Old high-end Pioneers, Samsung 2009 model B850 series 8 plasmas etc. (other plasmas use screen filters also but isn't as advanced..) Not sure who makes the CBD filter though. I assumed the AMOLED is made vy Samsung. But not sure.

Samsung had (i don't know if they do still) a shortage on samoled displays. Hence the Galaxy S i9003, the Nexus S i9023 and the Wave II S8530, all the same as their counterparts but with Super Clear LCD instead of amoled. (It touches the borderline of fraud, this tactic of creating copies of the phones minus the SAMOLED)

I don't think Samsung has a shortage anymore.
New i9001 SGS1 Plus has SAMOLED again.

Again yes i know it's not a "screen"
What i was implying was that that the one making the screen is the same one adding the layer. Just sounds like a no brainer me. Though i'm not all that sure what we are even talking anymore.
For mass produced AMOLED screens there's really only two options LG and Samsung, both large screen suppliers for Nokia. Most likely candidate for this thing imo being LG.

Samsung was supplying Nokia Amoled and LCD screens although I have read that LG have done a deal with Nokia to start supplying them AMOLED
I believe the CBD layer is a Nokia's own but it remains unclear if this is implemented during screen production or after on device production lines.
