Has anyone found the install for Midnight Commander and Omweather. Also has anyone figured out why Garnet won't install even though the 'missing' files are there in the correct versions?

A lot of programs are left behind that we need in 2008.

Omweather
Xchat
The app that puts a clock in the programs at the top of the N800
Eboard
The stars program you can find in Garage.
Notecase

etc, etc. I hope that they make it into 2008!

You can get mc from elkins.org repository. Direct link here from list of repositories for os2008:http://www.gronmayer.com/it/dl.php?id=128
The thing is that it is not appearing in Application Manager, I had to 'apt-get install mc' from xterm (as root), but that should not be a problem for you since you will use mc from xterm anyway, right?
Report please if it works for you. Don't forget to update apt with either Application Manager or apt-get update after adding repository and before trying to install .Should be automatic but you never know

OMweather installed for me. Transparency is busted, but the weather part works. That is the only one I used out of those listed by the OP so I can't speak for the others.
