anyone shed light on how notifications, such as texts, gtalk messages etc are handles during e.g. web browsing for instance?

Is it like the N900?

Long press on the 'tile' and press red 'X' or select 'Close All' from bottom. Look a bit complicated IMHO.

Could you give me the Nokia Meego device a year link?
Well, think what you prefer.

Elop said that by the current MeeGo State, they could only release 3 devices until 2014 - what was too little to replace Symbian. And the idea of occasional disrupting devices is there as well. If you put 2+2 together, it's not far-fetched that we will see a new device every 1 or 1.5 years, just like Maemo.

There's a small transparent notification box that will popup in the lower part of the screen. Never used S^3, but by the screens, it seems similar.

Bit of a tricky choice! Do I go for the slick N9 or get the H/W KB N950.

Sure it's much better for txting and typing and xterm ofcourse but the N9 does look sleek. Currently I'm leaning for the N950 assuming I can get a hold of it and the s/w is as slick.
