hmm- the problem with easy debian is, thats too leaky for me and there's no vlc port for the n900; is there one?

OK, mpd installed but it cannot open the audio source, even as root
Code:~$ mpd problems getting driver info for device defined at line 40 you may not have permissions to the audio device
/etc/mpd.conf
I want to use the N900 as a music player via ssh and i'd like to use a "gui" instead of mplayer
