I use my thumbnail for clicking on tiny links (ie the page numbers at the bottom of threads on forums like these). I can do it generally with a fingertip splodge but i get it everytime with the nail. It's not massively long, within the limits of what you'd consider a normal length for a guy. Thinking about it, I've hardly used the stylus at all since gettingthis replacement n900 about 2 months ago..

It's actually useful to have some decent nails on a resistive.
But a stylus does me fine.

This exclusive OS agreement is as plain as day to me, Elops talk about "beating android our number one priority" may even suggest it's a performance based agreement. No sensible CEO would put all their eggs in one basket without an incentive. No sensible CEO would say no to the fastest selling OS because "they want to be different", no sensible CEO would scrap a handset being released to the general public soon because "it's OS is not ready or progressing quick enough" in favour of a handset who's release is even further behind. You need incentives for actions like this, to me this "future disruption" is the end of the exclusivity contract, the ability to move to your own OS again as a safety net if the contract didn't work in their favour or renewal falls through.
I can't say I agree with aspects of your theory TBH...
Big one is that there's still not certainty about Elop ever saying N9 is the last MeeGo ph.
A non-English Euro rag was interviewing him when he reportedly said this.
But the English translation is open to interpretation, & we don't even know if what he said was reported correctly.

It's not conclusive until there's a comment direct from Nokia in a conference or whatever.
And I find it odd if there's an exclusivity agreement, why this has happened by now.
CBF'd explaining what other aspects I disagree with & why, so tired of writing crap.
Just want this thing to be out already, so I can properly assess it over time.

I guess I've got 'man fingers'.

I've heard there are screens that combine both technologies.
I don't think so...

Unless one of the mainstream tech's listed above are 'kinda like' capacitive + resistive.

It may be merely an obligation for Elop, the board, & senior management.
But it's certainly not for engineers who put many years of blood, sweat, & tears into it.

Intel agreement was gradually morphing into a wonderful way to leverage their work even further, & amplify it.
We can see that now when we try to understand the MeeGo community, & how it interrelates with Harmattan.
In theory it's been killed, but in practice it looks like work proceeds as was originally planned, at least for now.

That's basically them talking about what you're talking about today, a few weeks ago.
When you stop being cynical and stop trying to make trouble you might even be liked on here but i can tell you now that will be impossible as your just too old to change .

Work it out for yourself because someone needs to help this community i am done with helping.

MeeGo is a raging success Elop should be decapitated for ditching it
Nokia's current position would not much different even if they kept MeeGo, dont know if you've all noticed but there is precisely 0 MeeGo smartphones on the market so people who keep saying it would of saved Nokia are deluded and Clutching at Straws

Just listen to techreporter on swedish broadcast he called Nokia N9 for Nokias first smartphone! WTF!

Then: "But we should ask ourself if its not already to late and also they'r CEO said it in february when going WP7...." Everytime I heard those ****ing statement I blame MrFLop and the directorsboard not the engineers and Maemo.

It is MrFlop who killed Meego and also Symbian. No all testers is like the damn phone but at the same time kill it when drawing those "conlusions".

Then they said something about apps. What I dislike is they didnt say a word about the facts that all QT apps for symbian can work on this device.

However I must say Nokia has WAY better maps than google. So I guess thats something good for WPx users in near future....
