Hey guys

Anyone else having the same problem? There is loads of battery still, but it just switches off every so often. Been doing it more regularly recently. I'm gonna try re flash. Just wanted to know if anyone knew why it was doing it before i do.

Cheers

Did you ever get this problem sorted (phone 'jamming')?

A re-flash is the way to go. If it still switches itself off/'jams', I think you need to get the hardware fixed...

I cant remember the last time it jammed. So dont think its still an issue. Just turning itself off with no prior warning...

You mentioned in another thread that you haven't overclocked - is this still the case? Have you run any other 'low-level' speed-up tweaks/hacks/mods etc?

It still sounds hardware-ish to me (just my opinion), but if you return it to Nokia, they'll keep it for a few weeks and just flash it.

So you might as well flash it first and see if it fixes the problem....

Just to be sure before you reflash: have you check the springer that holds the battery in place?

thanks, will give it a go. Have checked battery and it doesn't seem to be loose at all so thing I'll flash it. I have swappolube installed, but other than that nothing else to speed it up. Still haven't overclocked!

Also, be sure to check not only battery springer, but battery contact pins too. Using needle, You can tighten them a little (with battery pulled out, of course), then try again.

Of course, if that doesn't help, full reflash (with eMMC, just in case) is also recommended.

to test if the battery is causing your phone to turn off by them self then do this...

Code:
put the phone on you hand & shake it for a while....it the phone turn off by shaking it the the battery pin is loose...
to fix it is simple...use a needle to tighten your battery pins....the best way is to buys a new battery....

After you reflashed, did you restore the programs you had previously been running? If so, that might have been a mistake.
