In short:
- get GParted live CD, burn it
- install "Backup menu" on N900 from 'extras-devel' repository or from here
- reboot computer to GParted Live CD
- reboot N900 with opened keyboard, connect to computer using USB and use USB connectivity from Backup Menu
- use GParted to adjust your partition sizes

Addendum: every part that i wrote above is explained either in the Wiki here, or in a thread, so search before if there is something unclear to you. Read & check through this site, i will not answer any personal messages.

If successful, consider donating to RobbieThe1st for developing BackupMenu.

I believe the standard format for the MyDocs partition is FAT32 so in mass storage mode, I assume it can be formatted like a pen drive? This will completely wipe the sub-partitions, if it works. To clear up the contents of each partition, might fdisk work?

Subpartitions? *scratches head* What are you talking 'bout? He doesn't want to format his MyDocs partion, he wants to delete the Android partion and grow the FAT32 (a.k.a "MyDocs") partion back to its old size. fdisk will not resize and is command line only, that would not help him here.

Ok - got a bit confused.
I thought the request was to wipe the contents of MyDocs in order to start again.
Sub-partitions: I thought he meant the partitions made within the MyDocs "space". It seems the new partition was placed at the "beginning" of MyDocs, thereby increasing the size of linux partition.

Also, (apologies for asking but) does fdisk work for moving partitions? It's in the power-busybox.

 reflashing is like the usual Windows suggestion of "format & reinstall if something's farked up, rightaway loosing all your precious data that you unfortunately stored on the C: partition / under "My Documents"...". But if it worked for you...

i actually laughed out loud when i read that response from him. reminded me of one of the guys on the helpdesk i support spent 15min trying to explain how to turn a machine off that had hung. the guy on the other end hadn't a breeze so just unplugged it from the wall hahaha, £15,000 machine just unpluged like that.
