[QUOTE=karam;1067567]lsolano if you don't wanna use vfs as standby just open the keyboard and lock the screen
then you can close the keyboard
in that case the vfs will not change to 10 (standby)

unless the system finished update or goes inactive

EDIT: OR INSTEAD OF CLOSING THE KEYBOARD
YOU CAN JUST PUT YOUR FINGER ON THE PROXIMITY SENSOR
then lock and leave the sensor

PS: I REPEAT

i need some one to test something :

-----------------
sudo gainroot
-----------------
cp /root/.profile /home/user/
------------------

and see if any better performance or less performance occur

if you wanna reverse just :
--------------------------------
rm /home/user/.profile
--------------------------------

i tried the above and got this result after a reboot:

-sh: /home/user/.bashrc: line 5: can't create /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/1691/tasks: nonexistent directory
-sh: /home/user/.bashrc: line 5: can't create /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/1691/notify_on_release: nonexistent directory
~ $ sudo gainroot

@carlon
the first result you got

means that you didn't reboot
or something occured and prevented speedpatch to start
that happens with me if i made an unexpected reboot or took of the battery while the phone is runnging

the second result
which is the batterypatch
are you sure you have rebooted ?
cause in my case it works

anyway thank you for replying

NOW I NEED 1 MORE PERSON TO CONFIRM

debs from

hey sorry. i meant the speedpatch was correctly installed by not the battery patch. echo 1000 command showed 1000 instead of 100

I figured out the problem

the config files need to be edited to point to /opt/dbus-scripts instead of /opt/scripts

will correct it on the next deb of batterypatch and speedpatch

for guys installed batterypatch
just remove the deb

And i have question :

if i included
the dbus-script package inside the batterypatch package
will that be illigal ????

hey i installed the batterypatch through the deb file. i did not remove it. but as it didnt work i installed it manually without removing the deb. and i checked vfs cache showing 100 so patch was applied but its safe right? its not gonna mix up right cause i didnt remove the deb.

it will work
but there will be some mixes
when you remove the deb you will notice that it doesn't work any more
why ? well because the debs uses the same files of the manual install
it will think that those files were created by the deb
so uninstalling the deb will remove the files

TO STAY SAFE :

stay like this until i release the next deb of battery patch
then remove the manual install and the deb
then install the new one

thanks karam. and btw i have noticed a bit of lag in my phone. like when call comes, sometimes my phone shows the black background screen and after some seconds, the picture n the contact who is calling comes. and also laggy when i use wifi. and sometimes when i unlock the phone through the lock slider, it lags sometimes n then shows the homescreen. this has been going on since a couple of days. it can be because of a 3rd party application but please comment if this can be a result of any of the patch or if u have faced such problem when u installed the patch or something? it can be an app or something but i just wanted to know if any of the patches might have cause this?
thnaks alot
