LOL...

Just kidding WP lovers!
I actually like WP too, haven't had a chance to play heaps with it though.

MeeGo play will come 1st, then Android upgrade, then WP.
Then Q4 2012, a iP5 from my iP3G.

Well at least it didn't happen earlier. Now I am seriously thinking about getting a galaxy 2 instead of the N9, bigger screen, faster cpu, 100 bucks cheaper...very tempting...I must resist.
Noooo, wait for the detailed comparos....
The N9 may actually be better value all-up.
I have my doubts, but there's still a very slim chance.
And even if it isn't better value, it'll still end-up being better overall IMO.
So buy it, or buy a top-end Android ph & the N9, like me!

Might change your mind
But I'm skeptical that's going to be an avg. price in the US/UK, once its officially out.

Elop is not the problem, a symptom maybe, but certainly not a problem no matter how you look at it.
So, no actual data then. :/

P.S. I am using Elop also as a proxy for those within Nokia that support the current strategy. I'm not making the 'trojan horse' case. I'm making the case that there is no evidence to support any optimistic view of the current strategy. All available data (limited though it is) tends to support the view that it's likely to fail.

I'm thinking of getting a WP before upgrading to a newer Android ph.
I want to do a detailed comparo between it & the N9 in the TMO forum.
Can anyone recommend a WP with similar hardware specs to the N9?
As close as possible anyway... I don't want to wail till searay is out.

Where's the talk on Alien Dalvik and the White N9? All I see is a detailed answer about MS Exchange support, DLNA (incomplete) and a few other tidbits.

Total FUD. I think the only thing pushed out to March 2012 are the dual-core A6 processors. And they're testing them now... so that might be wholly wrong as well.

Sorry, it's in the comments, the very last one at the bottom.

Yeah I heard that for the iP6...
But I heard that it was Q2 they were aiming for, most likely May.
This story's talking about March for the iP5/iPad3, & Oct for this new phone-like iTouch.

If it's true I'd get one....
I like the sound of a beefed-up iTouch that's still way cheaper than an iPhone.
I'd sell my current iTouch 4G and upgrade to it!
If true it might be better news for N9, or it could be worse, who knows.

Bull. What you actually say is; among the rumors and bloggers analysis I have read, I chose to put value on those supporting the view that Nokia will fail.

You cannot possibly have the "data" that is available to the Nokia board, or you wouldn't ask this question in the first place. That "data" is not what you think it is.

There is a world of difference between simply floating wherever the flow brings you, and making things happen. What Nokia is doing is making things happen. Data supporting the rights or wrongs of Nokias actions does not exist yet, only rough estimates of cost, risk and future projections. Only in hindsight will such "data" be available, if ever.

Social science has no answers, no rights and wrongs, only public reactions. We do have that data and it is not looking positive. If nokia has "data" that shows that the risk is lower and they are going to be fine and that people should invest in them then it is in their best interest to plan a press release. This is the way any social science works.
