Damn, lost my n900
Well at least it didn't happen earlier. Now I am seriously thinking about getting a galaxy 2 instead of the N9, bigger screen, faster cpu, 100 bucks cheaper...very tempting...I must resist.

Maybe because Elop IS shareholders (the board) decision. Common sense tell me that the boards intension is to look after itself and their money or whoever they represent. Question is, is the board capable of looking after itself and their interests?
Elop is not the problem, a symptom maybe, but certainly not a problem no matter how you look at it.

Where's the talk on Alien Dalvik and the White N9? All I see is a detailed answer about MS Exchange support, DLNA (incomplete) and a few other tidbits.
Total FUD. I think the only thing pushed out to March 2012 are the dual-core A6 processors. And they're testing them now... so that might be wholly wrong as well.

All available data (limited though it is) tends to support the view that it's likely to fail.

Bull. What you actually say is; among the rumors and bloggers analysis I have read, I chose to put value on those supporting the view that Nokia will fail.
You cannot possibly have the "data" that is available to the Nokia board, or you wouldn't ask this question in the first place. That "data" is not what you think it is.
There is a world of difference between simply floating wherever the flow brings you, and making things happen. What Nokia is doing is making things happen. Data supporting the rights or wrongs of Nokias actions does not exist yet, only rough estimates of cost, risk and future projections. Only in hindsight will such "data" be available, if ever.

Just kidding WP lovers!
I actually like WP too, haven't had a chance to play heaps with it though.
MeeGo play will come 1st, then Android upgrade, then WP.
Then Q4 2012, a iP5 from my iP3G.
