So I had to take my N900 screen off as in a bizarre accident I got the metal frame bent but not damaged the phone in any other way.

Anyway I have reassembled it however the screen isnt lying flat. It is up at the front towards the keyboard and closer to the bottom half at the top.

I have tried different tensions on the screws to see if it changes the angle but with little success.

Anyone know the secret to positioning the screen before screwing down to get the best results?

"Just a note on reassembling: when you put the display and keyboard togheter, do it with slide opened, otherwise you won’t see the clip on the top of the keyboard."

The clip, actually it is just a piece of the slide base that protrudes slightly and retains the display level with the keyboard. You have to hold the display at right angles to the base to get the retainer on the slide to slip under the top edge of the keyboard. This makes is more difficult to get the ribbon attached but if you dont do it then like me you end up with the display not sitting level.
