my omnia hd takes wondeful pictures. Camera quality is better than the N900 but I usually use the N900 because the software gives you more control over the result (especially fcamera)

Hi n70shan!
Saw your post here so I'm giving my opinion.
I think there are only two cellphone camera sensors worth discussing: the Nokia N8's large sensor because of its size and the Sony Ericsson's EXMOR sensor because of its innovation (back-illuminated CMOS). I don't think much can be said about other sensors because information about them are not really published or used by the marketing department. We can only categorize them as good sensor and bad sensor. Or maybe someone else around here got some info on them?
Regarding the lenses... I'm not sure if they really make much impact on mobile phones, I think they're too small.
I'm an Ericsson guy before having the N900, the Cybershots still have my heart. Though I doubt I can still say that if I have an N8.

EDIT:
Wanted to share these K770 shots, both straight from the camera:

With lens jelly attached

n70shan,
maybe you'd like to change you thread title to something like
"Phone Camera Sensors, Lens and Image Quality" if that's what you want to discuss here.
i'm interested in what info others have. Thanks!

Offtopic, but I guess this is the SM North Edsa Annex? Never saw the walls this white though.

yup, SM north. hehe the colors are not accurate in that picture because the setting used was "Document". i think it increases the contrast, therefore, the very white walls.
