Somebody needs to make a betting spread in Google calendar for the release date.

so what about:

http://www.tre.se/Privat/Mobiltelefo...GB/?color=5180 23 sept (first operator that actually got contract with nokia in sweden and KlasStröm(Nokia marketing SE) was the person who give them that date AFAIK)

and then if you talk to any of those operators direclty on phone they say "expected release around week 44/45"

it is more likely around midoctober now it seems(for those prebooked). So you maybe IS right in the end. But my point is your sources is not more trustfully than any of above.

I dont mind if it get released in first week of october or even if you get it before me/others. Just wonder WHY your source (telenor.no) is more correct than any other :O btw you seems to forget telenor.no are NOT saying they are sure about date.

It'll be here next month...

Nokia's flagship Meego phone on the horizon

Nokia's latest Meego smartphone, the N9, will be available next month. The phone will run on the MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan operating system which will allow the phone to multitask between different applications without much fuss.

Nokia claimed that the phone can run up to more than 10 different applications simultaneously without showing any significant slow down.

Also, there will be over 1,000 applications available for the OS when the phone is launched, the company said.

The smartphone is made from a single piece of polycarbonate and weighs 135g. It has a 3.9in AMOLED screen and an 8-megapixel Carl Zeiss autofocus camera with dual LED flashes.

The camera can also record 720p HD videos.

The N9 features Near Field Communication technology for pairing with external devices like the Nokia Play 360° wireless speaker.

The N9 is available in two capacities - the 16GB model will retail for RM1,799 and the 64GB version for RM2,088.

It will be available between the 3rd and 10th of October so you can all relax and figure out where your actually going to purchase it from.

A word of warning to ALL UK buyers, watch out for Customs and Excise charges unless the package is marked as a "gift" because it will set you back another 75 pound or more just to get it delivered to your door before having to pay import duties UNLESS you buy it from within the UK.

But isn't that what various similar sources (some reliable, even) said LAST month about this month?

That's already wrong right there. We already know it's not running MeeGo... Harmattan is BASED on it but we know it also Frankensteins a bunch of Maemo and a LOT of closed-source that clearly isn't MeeGo. They even went so far as to even claim a version of MeeGo that it's running on. Also note that the article you refer to is in Malaysia--you know.. the center of reliable N9 information, right?
