I have a suspicion it'll have rolled-out to only about half the targeted markets by Dec.

But by that stage, the 1st WP/s will have rolled-out to their targeted markets almost 100%.
Plus ongoing supply will be far more agressive...

The few big/influential markets the WP/s are going to, will then provide saturation air-time for the 1st WP/s.
And the N9 will fade into the back-ground, as mindshare is minimised, all by design.

Post count > 8000. Still no N9 (for most).

You know what bothers me the most? Despite Nokia knowing that TMO exists, despite us folks showing the most support for something that might have the chance of flopping since it's not being widely distributed, despite having a committee with access to Nokia... not one bit of communication has come from Nokia about possibly letting us purchase the Nokia N9.

Talk about a captive audience. Nokia, take advantage of it. Give all of us a very clear and easy manner to purchase this, make it clear about the warranty information through this community purchase program and make it happen.

I just... cannot believe that has not come up as a potential option. Nokia USA and Nokia Canada eCommerce sites are closed. We have to wait for Amazon or pay a premium at Expansys. Hell, I'm having to find Plan B for a lot of folks and have to fly down to Mexico probably to get some.

Make it easier. Whomever has the ear of somebody within Nokia that has a bit of sense; propose the aforesaid to them. Take the credit for all I care.

Sidenote: I remember when the N900 was given out to developers based on karma. My karma is quite high now, so they diverted it to a different tactic. Not saying it's related, but if they could change the way things were done before, why not add a method for us to buy it. We'd buy it.

Make it happen Nokia.

dont believe bloggers about windows phone.

use it urself, for me its was a black and orange tiles with predictable animations and not customizations

also UI isn't as user friendly, it adds horizontal scrolling, which looks like my mother settle for galaxy S rather samsung focus.

Swipe UI uses horizontal swipes/scrolling. Black and Orange tiles? Orange UK with dark background eh?

I suggest that people do use it for themselves. Predictable isn't as bad as unusable. Lack of UI/UX standards means that your usability goes down - you have to figure out each app since they all act different. Even Gnome, Hildon and KDE have standards; so I'm not sure what you're going for in that direction of thought.

Customizations? Quite unfriendly there. But where's the customizations on the N9? Transitions? Where's the home screen customizations?

It's not a phone OS for everybody. But the stuff you're talking about don't exist on the N9 in huge quantities either.
