You've gotta move fast if you want a N9.

(Still trying to work out excuse for the wife).

I have to admit--I keep thinking, EVERY time I see a price quoted, "MAN! That could buy a pretty damned good desktop, laptop or even a GREAT tablet or even a GREAT handset--maybe even TWO tablets/handsets--from a competitor. Then I just shake my head and think thankful thoughts that I'm not one of them.

Again, too bad those GREAT tablets will be running Android or a Chinese Frankenstein version of all popular OSes?

But indeed today's prices paid rather confirm the gadget status of the N9 than proving it to be the uber utility object.

If the n9 just had a bit better hardware (a dual core 1ghz cpu and a SGX543MP2 GPU) than it would be perfect. Im just wonder why nokia always put's older gen hardware in their phone's. I'm not saying hardware is everything, but it pretty much decides how the software will run, but at least they did put a 1gb of ram which is great

Because of the "Beautiful industrial design which will live on in the upcoming WP Nokia's" Quote some vicious only good for CEO type.

They choose to restrict battery consumption and battery size.

They chose not to market the OS as: green and blue eco type "runs more smooth leaving a fraction of the footprint of the rain forest, ozon consuming Android".

At least they have finally stopped saving on the RAM was a bitter lesson learned from N97 and hopefully N900 for which at the end we conclude they might have made it the instant classic with 512MB standard.

Personally I am waiting for the Nokia do it yourself Harmattan phone. You just buy a motherboard from Nokia and plug your SOC, RAM modules, choose your battery and your case form factor, with or without keyboard, and screen with or without multitouchTM. See you in 2050.
