Found out something interesting today.
Im having the problem of red arrow soon after the first mfe sync.

I tried to use another account at the same time.
after i finished creating and account started to work the another one recovered from the error.

about 10 mins accounts went out at the same time.

Yes I could change names of calendar accounts from calendar client but there was not similar option in Mail client. I think there should be.

I think names should be displayed in accounts page also - or at least domain name should be included with username in the second row of account line. Same also with imap accounts - account name should be displayed in accounts view.

Also having an issue with the MfE and N9 (just off the store shelf today). This is quite interesting:

- I have the N8 running against this very same Exchange server without any problems
- I can access the Outlook Web Access through the N9's browser with my credetials without problem
- N9 just doesn't want to work with the problematic Exchange server, while I know that my credentials are correct and I have tried 'all possible combinations' in the account setup menu
- A colleague has his N9 working just fine with this same Exchange server (from a different batch)
- Furthermore, I can connect w/ the N9 to another Exchange server without issues

With the problematic server, during the setup of the email account the N9 MfE queries:

"This certificate does not exist on your device. Install and trust this new certificate?"

This step should not happen in the first place. Below Certificate details it says the certificate is valid and SHA1 fingerprint matches the correct cert (e.g. comparing from the webmail/owa cert in Firefox). However, it states below Issuer as "None", while our certificate has been signed by Cybertrust Inc. This is one of the root level certificate authorities.

Cybertrust Global Root is listed in the N9 root certificate listing.

Selecting either one of the 2 options "Always trust" or "Trust for 24 hours" are both doomed to fail connecting.

Any suggestions?

Just to test is that switch making the problem for N9.
I had my brother change setting on his Exchange server and low and behold now my N9 can connect to his 2010 Microsoft Exchange server. But he doesn't want the server to run with this option so this needs to get fixed on the N9.

I've been having trouble with mine. If i connect to the local server while on the offices wifi no problems sends/recieves syncs. Obviously can't do this from outside the office. Work runs a VPN server for MFE and the N9 can't connect to the server/says server is not responding. Is there anyway to get around this? i love the phone but i really need to get my emails on my phone

You preobably need to connect to the vpn first and thern set up the MfE after that only issue is that the N9 doesn't have vpn client which I simply don't understand.

oh ok, was thinking there may be a problem with the vpn, as i can't establish a connection from my computer either, although others at the office have no troubles with mfe and the same server.

Thanks.

Hi All, anyone noticed the following 2 issues with MFE:

You are only able to add gmail contacts from ONE account via MFE. In other words, you can add at least 2 MFE accounts however, while you can sync emails and calendar entries for both the N9 will only let you sync the contacts from one of the accounts (the first one added). Anyone know if this will be fixed in a future update?

Secondly, all of the birthdays for gmail contacts are shifted one day into the future. However, if I click on the birthday in the contacts app it takes me to the correct day in the calendar. Also, checking the contact details in gmail (on a computer) the birthday shows the correct date. For example, contact A has a birthday of 1 Jan 2011. In the contacts section of gmail the birthday displays correctly as 1 Jan 2011. However, in the N9's contacts app it displays as 2 Jan 2011. Yet, when I click on the birthday in the contacts app, the calendar app opens to 1 Jan 2011. Strange. For background info, I've checked and both my gmail account and my N9 both have the same time zone set.

Anyone heard of these bugs before and if so, any word on a fix?

Overall, this phone is very good.

Thanks.

On my N950, birthdays and anniversaries of contacts synced from an Exchange 2007 server are off by one but in the opposite direction. For instance:
  • actual event: 3 Jan 1970
  • in Outlook: 3 Jan 1970
  • in N950 calendar: 3 Jan 1970
  • in N950 contacts: 2 Jan 1970

Confirming the same behaviour with Exchange 2010.

Note also, newly created (on device) birthdays are everywhere correct.
